Eagle in Flight

I seen an Eagle sitting in the field not far from our house and was disappointed that I didn't have my camera with me.  I slowed down and he flew away dazzling me with his wing span.  I could have kicked myself.  Well today we drive by and there are two of them sitting back in the trees.  We were coming back from a Senior shoot so we stopped to see how far I could zoom them in.  Pretty disappointing but you can still see the amazing size of these birds.

Than awhile later we drive by again and they are snacking on a dead deer alongside the road.  I hung my head/body out the window as John slowly drove up to them.

At this point there were cars stopped {how nice of them not to go around and scare them} so I told John to approach slowly and I'd try to capture them in flight.

Look at the size of those claws

He's huge and we are really close.

Here he got his graceful flight just above the snow.  Love those feathers tipped up on the ends.

Such beautiful birds and another reason why you should always travel with your camera.
