Little Titus is 3 months and cute as a bug.

Big Brother Bennett is almost 3 years and cuteness is happening with him too.

Snowy day up north

Snow is happening up north at the cottage.  This is a beautiful time to spend time up there sitting on the couch, painting in front of the window, taking walks, exploring or just staring out at the beautiful scenery.  

The river is starting to ice up.

We wonder why we live where it gets cold....... this is why.

Andee is 3months + a few

Little Miss Andee Lea is 3 months + a few... She's been a busy little girl and finding time to fit Grandma in her schedule for cutesy photos for the 3 month milestone has been tough.  However grandma taught her a little lesson and picked her up one morning to have some grandma snuggles and get a few photos.  She continues to be a very good girl, she rarely cries and her big blue eyes melt my heart.

Instead of going through a lot of work I just set up a little blanket in front of the south facing window on a cloudy day.  Perfect lighting for little Andee

Oh My Gosh isn't she just cute?

This set up gives you amazing catchlights.  When I put this fur around her face I got one shot and it was cranky city.  She is not about the girly stuff and Grandma crossed the line.  

A little sparkle since it's the only one.  

We only got like 24 photos but she is an amazing little girl and taught me something.... taking the time to spend one on one with her for the milestone pictures was great.  I may need to do this with each of the grandchildren.  

Nothing but right

Tonight I had a shoot and this pretty little girl was more than willing to help me test the lights.  It's amazing how big she is getting, she's supposed to be my little girl..... feels like yesterday that I cried like the world was coming to an end the day she was born.  The world was no where near the end it was a whole new beginning.  Sometimes we get wrapped up in what is going wrong at the time and what we should really see is what is going right.  Many people tried to tell me and show me the "right" but all I seen was wrong.  Now I look at this perfect little girl and see nothing but RIGHT.

We love you Elly Mae and you continue to show us new ways to open our eyes.  

Frosty Morning

Sunday morning was frosty and I haven't taken frosty photos for many months now.....

Anniversary Weekend Up North

33 years ago I married my best friend, we beat the odds of young stupid kids getting married and actually lasting....we showed the priest who married us that No we weren't going to be divorced in 6  months.... we worked hard at this young marriage and having a family of 5 when we were just kids ourselves.....and we won.  

We spent the weekend up north doing what ever we wanted.  With this view and beautiful weather it wasn't hard to enjoy every minute.   

We have everything put away for the winter so we had to haul some chairs out to the fire pit again.  

When I walked down by the river the sun was amazing sparkling on the water and through the trees so I had to run back up for the camera and capture it.

We walked down to the other end of our river bank where the eagles like to perch in the overhanging tree.

Then since there aren't very many pictures of me I get the camera set and have John put his feet exactly where mine were and I go to stand where he was.  That's the only way I can get him to touch the camera.  I'm not sure how he got the sun rays streaming down but it's kinda cool.

Lines going every which way.....

I loved the yellow grass across the river with the blue water.

A few times this weekend the eagles flew by and we got to see them soar up and down the river.  That site will never get old.  Our Anniversary couldn't have been better and no it's not all roses.... there were times we didn't agree, he drove by garage sale signs when I gave pretty good hints that he should stop, he stopped at second hand stores but didn't want to, I hit him in the head with a roll of duct tape, he swore at me, I took a walk to get some alone time, I slept on the couch while watching a movie, I can't sit still and if I do I fall asleep, he hates that...... he didn't want to come home...... yep just normal stuff for us but I love him and I tell him he loves me.   We are blessed and worked hard to get to where we are, marriage doesn't just happen, two people make it happen and two people make it last forever.... we are the right two people for this one.

The Painted Photographer Classes

There are 4 chalk painting classes coming up soon with The Painted Photographer.  If you want to learn everything there is to know about chalk paint you have got to make one of these classes work in your busy schedules.  These classes will be held during the 4th Annual Holiday Bazaar Craft Sale.  Shopping, painting, good conversations..... what more could you ask for.
