These flowers remind me every year of the spring my mom was sick. She could no longer leave the house and someone had to be there with her at all times. She had lots of flower beds outside that she missed terribly so whenever us girls would be there we would bring her in the first signs of her flowers blooming. I remember the day that I brought these into her. It's no longer a sad memory of mine, it's now turned into a memory that makes me smile as soon as I see these purple little gems. Of course I have to pick them and bring them in the house to enjoy.
